Diane Ferraro to highlight ‘Let Life Happen’ message amid expansion of abortion access in Colorado

PLANO, Texas — Save the Storks CEO Diane Ferraro will speak at the Colorado March for Life on April 17 in Denver, as abortion policy debates continue across the country. The annual event, hosted in Denver, comes as abortion policy debates intensify nationwide following the Supreme Court’s 2022 decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which returned regulatory authority to the states.

Since that ruling, Colorado has moved in the opposite direction of many states, expanding access to abortion and enshrining protections in law. Advocates say the Colorado March for Life seeks to offer a counterpoint focused on supporting women and promoting alternatives.

Ferraro’s invitation to speak highlights Save the Storks’ growing national profile and its emphasis on practical support for women facing unplanned pregnancies through pregnancy health clinics and mobile medical clinics.

“As an unfailing advocate for unborn children and their mothers, we would be so grateful if you could join us as we gather to march for a culture of life in Colorado,” organizers wrote in a letter inviting Ferraro to participate.

The 2026 theme for the national March for Life, “Life is a Gift,” underscores what organizers describe as a compassionate approach to advocacy, emphasizing care for both women and children.

Colorado law protects access to abortion without gestational limits and does not grant legal personhood to fetuses. At the same time, abortion access has expanded through financial assistance programs and new facilities. A Colorado-based abortion advocacy group, Cobalt, reported spending $2.4 million on abortion aid, according to Axios Denver. Meanwhile, a new clinic in the state has drawn attention for offering third-trimester abortions for a wide range of reasons.

Supporters of pro-life efforts say these developments make this year’s March particularly significant.

“Colorado has become one of the most extreme states in the country when it comes to abortion access, which makes it all the more critical that we show up to support women with real care and real options,” Ferraro said.

Save the Storks’ 2026 theme, “Let Life Happen,” will serve as a central message in Ferraro’s remarks, reflecting the organization’s mission to provide holistic support for women, children and families.

“‘Let Life Happen’ is about meeting women where they are and ensuring they are not alone in their moment of decision,” Ferraro said. “When women are supported with compassionate care and accurate information, hope becomes possible.”

The organization operates through partnerships with pregnancy health clinics, as well as a growing network of mobile medical clinics that deliver healthcare services directly to underserved communities.

According to a recent LifeNews.com article, maternal mortality has declined by 19.7% since the Dobbs decision and the implementation of abortion restrictions in some states. However, the group notes that abortion continues through access to the chemical abortion pill, reinforcing the need for continued outreach.

“We know that abortion is still happening, often through pills, and that means our work is far from finished,” Ferraro said. “We are committed to ensuring every woman has access to life-affirming care.”

Ferraro’s participation in the Colorado March for Life reinforces Save the Storks’ broader national efforts, including advocacy, community partnerships and direct services designed to provide alternatives to abortion.

DEAR READER

We hope this article enlightened and inspired you to stand up for life.

Despite the overturning of Roe v. Wade, abortions are still prevalent in our nation. As a response to the overturning, the media: from the news to entertainment sources to even political figures and celebrities, have pushed abortion as an ongoing agenda, shaping the way this generation thinks and acts. Misinformation is being spread every day, and people are sadly believing the lies.

Our articles and stories aim to tell one thing: the truth.

We know that it is both a blessing and a challenge to understand the reality of abortion, because knowledge incites belief, and belief incites action. But we’re in this together. We believe that we can make abortion unthinkable.

With your support, we look forward to a future where young women are empowered to fight for their own rights: a right to bring life into the world, to be fearless leaders, to be examples of hope, strength, and undeterred resilience. We look forward to a future where life can happen.

If this article strengthened your belief to reach women everywhere with the truth and to let life happen, then please consider helping us extend our reach by making a gift right now. Your gift of just $10 or $20 helps our mission to create a story of hope and empowerment for every woman facing an unplanned pregnancy.

We aim to create a culture that views “pro-life” as equivalent to having empathy and compassion, providing holistic care (before and beyond pregnancy) and education, and most importantly, choosing to speak and act in love. We are pro-life, pro-love, pro-woman, pro-solution.

Don’t just be part of the movement, be part of the solution, and give today.
