Job Summary:
Save the Storks’ Senior Director of Programs will lead strategic growth initiatives by building and strengthening partnerships with PRCs, women’s healthcare organizations, community outreach ministries, and aligned national networks. The Senior Director will also oversee program teams, guide expansion across multiple markets, and establish the systems needed to support growth nationwide.
The ideal candidate is a mission-driven leader who combines strategic vision, operational excellence, and a proven ability to build and strengthen relationships. They bring experience leading large-scale expansion efforts, developing regional partnerships, and advancing mission-driven growth initiatives, along with a deep understanding of life-affirming and compassionate women’s healthcare outreach. This individual will partner with organizations and ministries that reach women before they are in a crisis, while helping expand life-affirming services and support to women nationwide. They thrive in collaborative environments and will play a key role in hiring and overseeing Regional Account Managers responsible for market expansion, partner engagement, and implementation efforts across designated territories.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead national expansion strategy and help shape the regional structure for programs
- Develop and manage relationships with women’s healthcare clinics, community outreach ministries, and national partner organizations
- Identify and cultivate strategic growth opportunities within expansion markets
- Develop scalable systems, processes, and training, and best practices for regional growth teams
- Recruit, train, and oversee Regional Account Managers
- Provide leadership and oversight for all program staff (Community, National Program and Mobile Medical Program teams)
- Manage future extensions of the Mobile Medical program
- Oversee staff and contractors responsible for training and education of partners, including mobile partners
- Lead program strategy, content, and partner engagement for the annual Flyway conference; work in tandem with Events team.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with executive leadership, marketing, development, and operations teams
- Develop and monitor performance metrics and reporting standards to evaluate impact and inform strategic decisions
- Represent the organization nationally at conferences, partner meetings, and events
- Monitor market performance metrics and provide strategic recommendations for growth and sustainability
- Oversee operational budget and manage expenditures
- Oversee grant application process and direct team/committee on quarterly selection process
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) required
- Minimum of 10 years of professional leadership experience
- Demonstrated experience operating on a national level with multi-market responsibility
- Preferred experience working with women’s healthcare organizations, community outreach ministry/network, or healthcare-adjacent nonprofit environments
- Strong understanding of the life-affirming women’s healthcare landscape and support prior to and after pregnancy
- Data-driven leadership experience; proven background with implementation based on key stats and mission-focus standards that tie back to impact
- Experience overseeing or partnering with marketing experts or consultants is a plus
- Proven success in relationship management, strategic partnerships, and market expansion
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and project management skills
Physical and Other Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Travel required up to 30% of the time
- Ability to work effectively in remote conditions, i.e. home office or co-working office space
