‘Storky’s Road Trip Across America’ highlights the blessings of family and the freedoms that have shaped generations of Americans
PLANO, Texas — Save the Storks celebrates the United States’ heritage and invests in its future through “America 250: Storky’s Road Trip Across America,” an initiative highlighting family, faith, freedom and the beauty of life.
Storky, the organization’s mascot, takes a nostalgic journey across the country while drawing attention to Save the Storks’ mission of supporting women facing unplanned pregnancies and helping families flourish. Through social media updates and community engagement, the organization seeks to celebrate American values and encourage support for future generations.
Storky’s road trip reflects the belief that the American dream begins with family, life and freedom. Save the Storks points to the Declaration of Independence’s affirmation that all people are created equal and endowed by their Creator with unalienable rights, including life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
As part of the effort, Storky is making appearances at landmarks and family-centered events, including recent stops at the Grand Canyon and a Washington Nationals baseball game. Sharing photos from the game on social media, Save the Storks celebrated families filling the stands and children enjoying cherished summer traditions. The organization is also inviting families to bring their own Flat Storky, a cut-out version of the Storky mascot, on summer vacations, day trips and other family outings and to share their adventures along the way.
The organization says it is marking America’s milestone by supporting future generations and bringing hope to women who may feel alone, overwhelmed or uncertain after learning they are pregnant.
Save the Storks comes alongside American families, connecting them with local pregnancy health clinics, offering practical resources, compassionate support, and a network of mobile medical clinics that bring care directly into communities.
“As our nation approaches its 250th birthday, we are celebrating the blessings of family and the freedoms that have shaped generations of Americans,” said Diane Ferraro, CEO of Save the Storks. “We believe every child is a gift and every mother deserves support, hope, and access to compassionate care. America’s future depends on investing in the next generation.”
The organization said the road trip also highlights America’s biblical foundations and Christ’s love for children. In Mark 10:13-16, Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”
“Families are at the heart of thriving communities, and we want to remind Americans that joy, faith and love are worth celebrating,” Ferraro said. “Through Storky’s journey, we hope to spark conversations about family life and encourage communities to come alongside women who need support and encouragement.”
